Here is my 2 cents on the food. Plus a bit of chit chat. I order my standard large pepperoni & mushroom pie. This is how I judge all new pizza joints. The crust was thin and crispy. … That all the good news. This is a first time eating a pie from Salvatore. I got it delivered. Delivery was sooner than I was told. The pie was piping hot. Taste ……it really sucked. There was no distinctive flavoring. Not much oregano, basil and a lack of garlic. Plus if you look at my pic they were skimpy on mushrooms. I order from the web site. On Friday & Saturday you are to get a small cheese pie when ordering certain items. I met that requirement. I did not think I needed to remind them of this. It should just be a gimmie or I Should have been asked at time of ordering. There were 10 reviews at a certain site. All but 1 gave it 5 stars. The 1 gave it 4 stars. This supports my continue statement. Floridian have NO idea what is good food. I know its not me. I am in good health. No medications to screw with my taste buds.. I have been eating pizza for 30 + years.Plus I paid 25 bucks. With a cannoli. Cannoli was good but small for 4 bucks. So over all I learned a few lessons. NEVER pay attention to floridians on reviews of tasting food. Be sure and point out on a special when ordering. And never pay 20 bucks on a 2 topping pizza.

I got an undercooked pizza. I ordered a large sauce and cheese pizza with ricotta topping and bacon, onion, jalapenos, and black olives.Maybe there is something I don’t know about adding ricotta topping to a sauce and cheese pizza, but when the pizza was delivered, the entire middle was undercooked so much, that when you pulled a slice of pizza out, literally- the middle half (center) of the pizza fell apart. I mean it was like wet pizza dough. I was so disappointed. If a slice of pizza can’t stay together, something is wrong. It’s hard to find a good pizza place that offers ricotta topping, and I spent like $25 bucks for this pizza [if you include the delivery drivers tip], and I basically got a pizza box filled with slop. But I will say, after I refrigerated half the pizza for about 12 hours, the next day, the entire slice of pizza held together. So it’s better as leftovers.I’ll never go back. I see a lot of other good reviews for this place on line, but I lost $25 going here. There’s a few other places I’m going to try locally to see how they are.

Best Pizza Ever!. Salvatore’s (formerly on College Parkway in Fort Myers) has the most authentic Brooklyn style pizza south of New York! Light, flaky crust made by hand every day, superior sauce and perfect amount of cheese takes me back to the quality pizza I remember growing up in the northeast. Don’t miss out on the best pizza in SWFL!!
