It’s great neighborhood restaurant. Very friendly and casual. Nice to go to with friends or comfortable going by yourself. Sitting at the bar the chefs are very friendly and attentive. And of course the food is great.
Best in SW Florida. San is a long time local sushi chef who opened his own restaurant after working in the largest sushi restaurant in town. His sushi has got to be some of the best in this area, and for value, the quality of the ingredients and the portions versus price are excellent. Sometimes, the cost/portion of sushi in Fort Myers area is nonsense but San keeps it real.First and foremost, his lunch specials are totally some of the best values around. The 2 or 3 roll combos have special rolls on the menu, not just the bar standards but tempura cooked rolls like the Crazy or spicy crab like the Vegas. For $8 with salad and soup, it’s crazy. But the best on the menu and my favorite is the Golden Flake Tuna app. He uses spicy tuna, fried wonton, sesame oil, spicy mayo and the combo is simply the best tasting texture. I am addicted to this appatizer and make it a meal. Also, one of the best special rolls is his Crabby Roll – amazing combo of eel and avacodo. Sans Sushi is out of the main drag of Fort Myers, just over the South bridge on Cape Coral parkway just down on the left. Worth the drive if you want some amazing sushi. They also have a complete Thai/Japanese menu, but my experience is with his Sushi. I still with what is the best. I’ve been to most every sushi place in town, and San makes it how it should be. Expert with his knifes, he and his staff behind the bar are the next generation of sushi experts in town.
Try the Thai. This should be a Thai restaurant – the Thai food is pretty good. The sushi – not so much. Very nice staff – but the place smells like a nursing home.
Average sushi. Ordered a special tuna roll 12 dollars it was made like a 6 dollarRoll. Also they has no seaweed salad. Expensive for the quality
