We went two different times, The 1st time my daughter ordered blueberry pancakes and she ended up with the blueberries on the side and the girl sitting in front of us had her blueberries cooked inside so my daughter asked for her ordered to be fixed. The waitress got rude with her and said she didn’t order it that way but whatever she would have it re-done. Ummm….we were not given a choice and every other place cooks them inside plus the girl in front of us did not specify either. We figured bad day? Went back this weekend for breakfast and I ordered a sausage, mushroom omlete with american cheese, the same one I ordered the prior visit. I received my omlete and it had raw onions and red & green peppers all in it. By the time the server came back to the table to check on us the other people I was with were done eating. I showed her the omlete and she agreed it was not what I ordered so I asked that they just take it off the bill because we were done. The manager? came over to the table to tell us they would take it off the bill but the owner does not want us back because all we do is complain. Last time I checked your supposed to get what you order and are expected to pay for it, not what the owner/cook feels like making you. We also had a problem with the light start flashing above us which was causing me to get sick and dizzy as I have a brain disorder and they were rude about it so we unscrewed the light bulb. We had no intentions of going back after so rude treatment and never would have posted this review had it not been for the owner saying not to come back and not having the guts to tell me to my face.

February 2019South Cape Diner, Cape Coral Pkwy, Cape Coral,Fl. Here is some chatter and my 2 cents on the food.I have been here before and been a happy trooper. But alas this time I saw a sign asking for a cook. I should have left.Service and staff over all was excellent. Ah but the food. !!!I decided on the comfort food.Meatloaf, mash taters and cole slaw. 10 bucks…..Oh so wrong. First the cole slaw. Though it was fresh and crunchy it was just horrible with a very sour vinegar dressing. There was no mash potatoe. The potatoe were out of the box with too much liquid… It was like eating runny malt-o-meal.The gravy was box too.Tasted very good. Dark color but no bits of beef to be seen. The meat loaf was like a slice of dark rye bread. Heavy tasted horrible.I will be back but once a new cook is here. April 2017South Cape Diner, Cape Coral Pkwy., Cape Coral,FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.I have been here before for breakfast and lunch. As now the service is outstanding.Previous meals were good. The Food. I ordered a french dip sandwich. I have had the original from Philippe in Los Angeles. ( Note; pork is the number 1 sandwich in LA. )This one was beef. Ok not enough meat or cheese. Plus the au jus was bad. It was in between a thin jus and a thick gravy. Plus later on at home, I smelled worcester sauce in it. Not a good thing. The fries were different. Tasted fine but they were coated in something.Everybody can not be everything.South Cape Diner, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl., Here is some chit chat and 2 cents on the food.I enter from the big parking lot in the rear. I pass by the kitchen area. Lo and behold I wa given a big good morning from the the dish washer. His arms up to the elbow with suds. HMMMI was greeted warmly and seated promptly.I requested a coffee. My server was a johnny on the spot.I placed my waffle, eggs over easy and ham.It arivved in about 5-6 minutes. Waffle was dusted in powder sugar along with maple syrup on the side. My eggs were done to perfection and still hot. This meal was fabulous. The workers all were buzzing like bees. Had smiles on faces. I was being checked up on. Coffee be refilled.I thought I was in Superman Bizarro World… No place is this nice. I woke up an hour ago and no medications yet. So I was not dreaming. It would be great if all places were like this South Cape Diner. I will have to return to find out.So please try this place and assure me I was correct.November 2016South Cape Diner, Cape Coral Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL., A grumbling in my tummy, 2 cents on the food, chit chat. The food. Lean Reuben sandwich, cole slaw, and sweet tea.If you love just basic american style food this is one of the places. Reuben: corn beef, rye, swiss cheese and thousand island dressing. The 2 slices of rye was separated by about 1 1/2 inches of meat goodness. I added a touch of mustard and I am in carnivore heaven. Cole slaw crisp and tasty.Service was excellent,But… My 2 cents. It was advertised a LEAN reuben…And for all of you calories counters ok. I like my reuben with FAT. That is the REAL DEAL.. As tradition goes and the original servings are you NEED that stuff. You only live once ,so have a smile on the face 🙂 , EAT MORE FAT…
