Boat House Tiki Bar & Grill, Driftwood Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL. Growling in my tummy, 2 cents on food and chatter. The Food & chatter. The menu is quite extensive. Bison burger, salad and seafood.I got the fried seafood platter. 20 bucks clams ,shrimp, and fish. All fresh…. fried to perfection. Cocktail sauce tangy not very spicy, Tartare ok, House made cole slaw with bits of mango. A good entree. I tried the so called house hot sauce…just a stepped up catsup. Over all good chow.Chit chat.I was treated to a live wonderful singer and pianist. Did a great job. They are open 8 AM to 10 PM. I arrived at 1045 AM. My server told me and did not take my order til 11 AM. THEY DO NOT TAKE ANY FOOD ORDERS betweens 1030 AM & 1100 AM. Breakfast/LunchExcept booze and drinks. My sweet tea which was served in a 12 ounce plastic cup with ice costed $2.75 though there are refills. Do the math and figure how expensive it is.A can of beer here is $4.50 on average. Times that by 6.( Factoid: The following cities with the MOST expensive drinks in the USA. 1.Anchorage, Alaska,2.Santa Rosa, California,3. Cape Coral, Florida) Alaska yes but Ca. and FL noooo!!!!!Anyway good service good chow but pretty much a local touristy joint.
The food was fine, nothing super amazing but the atmosphere was great. The restaurant is right on the water so you get a great breeze and a beautiful view of the sunset. The band was also good. I would come here every night if I could!
Katie the bartender was very nice and served us as soon as we walked up. The food was so good. Bison burger is s must try. Crab cakes and seared tuna wontons were really good, just needs a hit of wasabi to be great. Beers on tap were adequate. Lots of frilly drinks to choose from.
I did not like not having someone to seat our party. We were a party of 6 woman and could not put 2 tables together because the policy is more than 6, WHAT. So we had to sit and eat and drink crammed at a table of 4 and cram 2 more chairs at the table. If it wasn’t for the very nice waitress, Sally, we would have left. She is a sweetheart and a great waitress. We will go back again because of Sally. You should change your policy about seating and maybe less bar seating and more table seating. We enjoyed our food and drinks but we were on top of the music because that is the only table we could fight for. Also, we spent over 140.00 whereas 4 people took up a table and only had 1 drink, so they spent what 40.00 did not seem fair for us to be crammed and they just drank and were comfortable.Just my opinion
Really gone down hill service and attitude wise :(. Went there for the third time, it seems to go down hill more and more at every visit. They live up to too big for their britches. My party of 6 walked in and were trying to find a table, unsusessfuly, and not one person said a word to is, as we left the waitresses made jokes about how thank god we were leaving we were just in the way anyways…. So ungodly rude and unprofessional. Then we waited out a table in the sand where a waitress came after about 15 minutes and was rude from the minute she walked out. It was about 7:15, the people sitting there before ate and the waitress rudly asks if we wanted anything or were just sitting here….. We asked for menus and she said they would only serve us drinks, no food before sunset…. What kind of rule is this as you take the dishes from the people at the table before us. What a joke. We did ask for drink menus, as we left 20 minutes later she was just coming back with the menus. Thank you for the waste of 45 minutes and the rude and complete lack of service. Please teach your staff some manors, I used to love this place and now I Dont think I will ever come back, the view is not even close to worth the horrible service. One star is too much!
Now called Cape Coral Yatch club. Good food great location, accessible by boat as well, beautiful view and full bar
The pulled pork sandwich was good. The staff was a pleasure and fun to watch. Nice place. Getting a table can be a bear during busy times.
