Industrial Food. We went here a couple of times mainly because we were starving and nothing else was open (like on Independence Day). The staff were always very nice, although on our first visit, we were seated and served our drinks, and then asked to change to a different table about four tables down. Note that there was nobody else AT ALL eating at any of the tables, although there were a few people at the bar. It wasn’t a big deal but I thought it was stupid frankly to bother making us juggle our drinks and bags etc. for no apparent reason.Anyway, we tried two of the cocktails, which tasted like a combination of Slurpees and store-bought frozen drink mix pouches. We tried the assorted appetizer platter, again which tasted and looked exactly like store-bought frozen appetizers. We had different salads, which were very badly prepared and again tasted like industrial food. The next time we went I only ordered soda and a sandwich entree (since sandwiches are pretty hard to screw up). It wasn’t horrible but it certainly wasn’t great; indeed it was remarkably bland, to where you are wondering how they could even find those ingredients in such flavorless condition.Even if you were just meeting up with friends to drink, I was not lead to believe that ordering alcohol from this franchise was so wise. And I will also note that the design of the restaurant is not conducive to those who have been drinking. It is dark, with pools of darkness on the floor near areas where there are step-ups/downs, and there is a fair bit of winding around one has to do for example to get to the restroom and back.

Busted a tooth. We used to patronize this Applebee’s often. My wife and her mother loved the Chinese chicken salad. But one time my wife got a burger there with a bone chip in it that fractured one of the crowns on her teeth when she bit into it. We went around and around with Applebee’s corporate brass about that, but they dodged responsibility for their bad food products, as corporations usually do. Never again will we eat at another Applebee’s.
