Some Surprisingly Good Options for Fast Food. I’m not a fast food person generally. One of my companions loves Arby’s so I have been eating there occasionally now for a few years. I personally don’t go for their standard stuff, but they have several items which I think are good (considering and remembering it is fast food). The philly cheesesteak sandwich is typically served with a lot of nicely grilled veggies on a soft, fresh roll; and several of the chicken sandwiches have a nice combination of flavors. I also like the onion rings, which are large, thick, nicely breaded with a crunchy coating, and usually fried up without being too greasy. Okay, they ARE greasy but that is part of the charm when it comes to onion rings. Their dessert turnovers are surprisingly good too, as are the shakes. The people working there are invariably extremely nice and service-oriented.
