This was the first time ordering from Fortune garden and WOW were we impressed!!! GREAT CHINESE FOOD!!! Having eaten sizzling rice soup in Atlanta and never being able to find it down here, we were so happy to see that they have it. And it was EXCELLENT!! Prices are reasonable – we will DEFINITELY be back!!!
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. My fiance and I just moved to port charlotte from Sarasota county, and absolutely love Chinese food… so of course we track down a local eatery that delivers to our location… Now as far as customer service goes, the young lady that took my call was polite and knowledgeable, delivery was within the time frame quoted, delivery driver also polite… we sat down to enjoy our dinner… and complete disappointment. We had ordered combination platters : sweet and sour chicken, and bourbon chicken. Both accompanied with fried rice, a chicken wing, egg roll, and soup; appetizers were beef teriyaki and boneless spareribs. Now if one item or so was unsatisfactory, I would have chalked it up to human error (I’ve worked in the food biz, it happens from time to time), but nothing we ordered was any good. All the meats were dry and seemed as if left over…( you know the taste), the sweet and sour sauce was watery, the bourbon sauce was just, ew. No words for how disappointed we are. Needless to say, we didn’t even eat a third of it, it just got thrown into the garbage. Like 10 minutes ago. We will not be giving them a second chance, sorry to say
Will Never Order From This Restaurant Again. We are a local business that has ordered from this restaurant a few times in the past. Upon receiving our order this last time I had made an error and gave the inappropriate amount for tip. I am used to having a delivery fee added to the bill and then I always had a couple of more dollars to the driver. Since I do not order from this restaurant frequently that is what was in my mind. However, as the delivery driver was leaving my counter he stopped looked down at the money in his hand, he started shaking his head and then mumbling in Chinese. It was clear that he was complaining because he felt I did not give him enough money. Now, granted, I DIDN’T give him enough money but it was an honest mistake. The issue I have is that he decided to blatantly complain about it right in front of me as if he is entitled to more money.To add insult to injury, I ordered General Tao’s Chicken with fried rice and Hunan Chicken with white rice, as well as two egg rolls. I did not receive the white rice nor did I receive the egg rolls. When I called to let them know the lady told me that I did not ask for white rice. I, however, had witnesses at my shop that heard me ask for it. Additionally, the lady also argued with me about the rudeness of her driver. She told me that he was not complaining and that he does not speak English. Speaking English was not what I was calling about and SHE was not here so how does she know what he was doing. She continued to argue with me that he did not do that and I at that point realized that she was not about pleasing the customer at all. Business 101…you DO NOT argue with the customer.
