Top notch service and awesome food. You know a good resturant when you find one! The food I had was truly authentic, served on time and with a smile. It was like being in the islands all over again. The only thing that almost ruined my experience was one obnoxious customer that seemed more interested in the beautiful waitress than just enjoying the food. He was so rude, dispite her attempts to politely rebuff his tasteless advances. I actually stuck around to make sue he did not become violent with her. But the staff at the Golden Krust must have superior customer service training to handle the racist and sexist attacks from a customer like I saw. Good news is I had a chance to go back and the young lady was fine, the atmosphere was tranquil and the food was off the chain.
Best Food in Port Charlotte. The best food ever, if you like Caribbean food and if you never tried it before make this your first experience; a must EAT. Try the oxtail, curry goat, oh and the pork is so good– I cannot describe the experience, you have to try it for yourself. oh, one last thing DO NOT Leave without a bottle of the peanut punch, omg…………….the owner was there a couple a times when I was there and she had me try this cheese cake, I think it was rum and I cant remember the name but it was great, i kept eating more and more.
Great!. The food is decent priced. I think the most expensive thing on the menu is less than $12. It is a great cultural change from American food.Me and my husband went with friends who recommended it and got the Curried Goat! It was fantastic. We have been back for their patties and for the Curried Chicken! I highly recommend you try this place.
