I literally went through twenty minutes of trouble just to create an account on this app so I could write this review: I spent two weeks in China, eating at some of the most expensive and famous restaurants in Beijing and Tianjin and (yes, I know they are different flavors) I have never eaten better food than at the Royal Thai!!!! The staff there is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is homey, and June truly cares for all of her customers! Friendly people, amazing food. My boyfriend and I eat there regularly and since our first visit have refused to eat anywhere else!!! I have tried something new each and every visit and am never disappointed. I’m not even a third of the way through the menu yet, there are so many choices for so many palettes! Almost every dish has a choice between meats so the possibilities are endless! I HIGHLY recommend the Thai tea and the chicken curry puffs!
Good food and family owned, daughter of the owner was our waitress while the owner was cooking in the back. When we told them it was our first time the owner came out to see what we thought. Really great place to try.

Do yourself a favor; go here at your first opportunity
Glad it’s still around. I remember when this place opened in the early 90s. It was a godsend at the time, because aside from a couple sub-par Chinese restaurants in Port Charlotte, there was nothing in the way of Asian food in the Charlotte Harbor area. The food was well-prepared and fresh. The family that operated it used to buy crabs that my wife’s father had caught in the harbor. Nice people! The fact that it’s still operating in an out-of-the-way area tells me they must be doing something right. (Even if they don’t season the food spicy enough for the previous reviewer. Remember, they’re dealing with people in Retireeland who have probably moved down from Indiana and aren’t accustomed to food with zing.)
