Waffle House. Love this place. It’s old school in your face cook up your order fast. Punta Gorda location has many truckers stopping in. I never enjoyed grits until I tasted theirs. No matter how complicated your order, they get it right. Part of the novelty of the place is listening to people order real heart cloggers without shame. No egg beaters served here. I had dinner there once with a friend who ordered some health salad with chicken and cranberries. It was the only time I saw the cook or waitress stumped over how to prepare a meal. It was not very good, so stick to the breakfast menu, and they also make a killer grilled cheese..crispy and buttery…mmmmm.
