For a long time our favorite take-out, especially the Friday pasta dish. However, for the past weeks it’s quality and variety have declined and this past Friday it was very disappointing. The meatballs were hard and the sauce had little flavor. Hope they will go back to their previous standards.

Our favorite pizza joint! Excellent pizza! We love wood fired pizza and this place is one of the best and certainly the best in the area! Great toppings, great sauce, great pizza dough, friendly staff too … what more can i say? A little pricey but the pies are large and worth every penny. Be sure to get a card from them to keep track of your pie count… after 12, you get a free pie and not just a cheese pie, any specialty pie! We try to resist, but can’t and usually get pies once a week. Small eat-in area but we always do take out and heat ’em up in the oven at 225 for 10 minutes (its a 35 minute trip for us). Haven’t tried anything else there yet but I would bet the calzones are just as good as the pies. If you enjoy REAL pizza, do give The Pizza Joint a try. PS – I did eat one of the wings my friend ordered and it was delicious!

Easily the best wood fire pizza we’ve ever had, the wings are great… and the customer service bumps it to a solid 5. The owner is always there and recognizes your face if not your name… and they have a great rewards program for returning customers ( buy a pizza get a stamp, fill the card and get a free pizza thing). Yahno… Now I want pizza. *calls them*

Excellent pizza. I’ve driven past this place many times. It doesn’t look like much driving by. Inside, it’s not much more. A tiny little place with as much seating outside as inside. This is because of the large clay wood fired oven that takes up half the kitchen area. Pizza made in this oven is unlike anything else in the area. The flavor from this kind of oven is unique and very very tasty! One of the other reviews mentions the pizza not being hot. I don’t like flaming hot pizza where the cheese is like napalm on the roof of your mouth. The pizza was warm to hot when it was put on the table so you could just dive in and start eating. We had the meat lovers pizza. There was enough meat for two pizzas! It was awesome! The staff is very attentive too. When leaving the chef/owner thanks every customer for coming in. He even walks around while you’re eating to see if you’ve been here before and where you’re from. It’s a genuine thankfulness and attention to customer service that isn’t found easily these days. If you’re looking for a great pizza that’s not like the rest you’ve got to stop by The Pizza Joint in Dunnellon.

Terrible pizza. Me and my husband had gone to this pizza place for the second time just this past Wednesday. The first time we went we were fairly happy. Just this past week the pizza was terrible when we picked up the pizza it was cold and just tasted discussing after we had to reheat when we got home. Personally I think the card board pizza box would have tasted better!!!! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Sticking to pavarottis in dunnellon from now on.

If you are near- you need to check this Joint out.23 Mar, 2014We had the works and a cheese pie, both were awesome along with the staff. I would also recommend the garlic sticks. Lots of specialty pizza’s that were tempting.23 Mar, 2014Wings are marinated for 24 hours then cooked in wood fire oven. They were spectacular.
