Loved Rockey’s Dueling Piano Bar and Sweet Mel’s. We were there for a family wedding so those were the only two places we really had time to visit but the downtown area looked really neat.
I went in the other day with my family to eat. Very trendy, attractive staff, and surprisingly affordable for the quality of food. The manager was great and made us feel like regulars, although it was our first visit. I will definitely be going back.
Drinks and jazz. A bit pricey, but not too far off the downtown range. High quality dining experience and signature drinks, including an extensive mojito menu. Small dining area, so dine in early or call for a reservation.
101 Downtown is like a 5 star restaurant from NY or Paris being dropped into Downtown Gainesville. Food was amazing and atmosphere is top shelf.
Had heard both good and bad reviews. Checked it for a birthday dinner, loved it. Great bartenders, the waiter was on his game and new the food. Definitely will come back whenever I’m in town.
