Nice selection of menu items covering a range of pan-Asian dishes. Food is rather bland and some dishes seem to differ in name only and only slight variations in ingredients. Smaller indoor seating, but larger outdoor area when weather permits. Main complaint is the service. Over the years it has deteriorated remarkably. My most recent experience on Sept 15, 2018 was terrible. Waiter greeted us and seated us. Another couple were seated after us and got menus and water before we did…same waiter. Another couple came in sat in the middle of the small room and were never approached by staff after about 10 minutes. They left. Food came after a moderate wait. I’ve seen this happen before, but keep giving them second chances. It doesn’t improve. I ordered Ap Chao. Vegetables were completely raw, not sauteed or steamed. Broth was like watered down paste. Chopsticks they offer are unusable. (I can use chopsticks.) I’ll probably give them another few months and try again. Really, they just don’t get the message. Don’t know how they stay in business.
Chopstix is great. The food is always fresh and well prepared. Their sushi is great, too. Also, the bartenders are generous when pouring. Large portions at reasonable prices. I love the atmosphere. Chopstix is one of the few places with outdoor seating that isn’t on a sidewalk subjecting you to traffic. When the weather is nice this is a perfect romantic spot.
