I waited 35 minted for a bowl of soup today.
Gross. This place is gross, and creepy and just plain….not good. I’ve been there once and will probably never go again. How is it possible to be a second rate Denny’s? I’m not sure, but the clock has succeeded in doing just that!
The inferior Denny’s. I went to the Clock one day because I heard a friend mention that it was open late. What a horrible decision. This place is both gross and really creepy late at night. Nothing I ordered was remotely appetizing and the service wasn’t particularly good. Even their coffee was disgusting.
Well….The Truth. The Clock is not too bad sometimes and other times not so good. Staff always friendly enough but, easily sidetracked. Sometimes service not great, attention to detail etc. Sometimes depending on the food ordered can go from pretty good to downright unsatisfying, poor quality. With no-other place like it on the East side of Gainesville, either eat there or drive much further to get All hour all meals service.I eat there all the time and wish there were more choices on that side of town. And will continue to eat there even with the negative issues until I move or there are more eateries to be found that offer the same plan.
Always enjoy going to the Clock!. The great waitresses make you feel welcome. I always like their food. Building might not be 4 star but if you just want a nice comfortable relaxing place to go with dependably well made food the Clock is great. Service is always prompt, they make a great BLT sandwich too!
Dirty little greasy spoon. This place hasnt changed in 30 years. Food is flat top drown in butter, bounces all over your belly type of food. It isnt that it is bad food. It is in a bad need of a remodel and a top down cleaning. Hard to be a critic of a restaurant almost as old as I am but this place will never change. Some of the waitstaff have been there since the opening. Its dirty, yes, but there has been alot of memories there over the years. Some of the customers have also been there since open.
