2 for the service, 4 for the burgers. The Copper Monkey opened in 1980. It has been around for so long because of the quality of the burgers. They are juicy and cooked perfectly. The flavor combos are interesting. For instance, the Big Kahuna has grilled pineapple, teriyaki sauce and Monterey Jack. Or you could order, like I did, the Orange and Blue which comes with blue cheese, onion straws and boom-boom sauce. Make sure to order chips, which are made at the restaurant, as a side. Good drink specials. The ambiance is drunk college student, hole in the wall. It hasn’t been redecorated since it opened, which is part of its charm. Dark and covered in shellaced wood, it is a true throwback. Enough tvs to make it a good place to watch sports.I would have given it a 5 but the service was not good. Our waitress was talking to another waitress and we waited 15 mintes for our order to be taken. After our food was delivered, we didn’t see her again. Another waitress walked by and grabbed our empties. We asked for our check. The second waitress went behind the bar and began to talk to our waitress. It took another 10 minutes for our check. I guess you can’t expect great service from a college burger joint, but this was ridiculous.

Great little spot…. I’m vegan so not much other than salad… I did attempt to get a stutteed veggies hoagie but the waitress let me know they use butter… but nevermind that the atmosphere was great and relaxed… Service was lovely and Traci was awesome… Very accommodating and made me wish to return…

Lackluster beer selection, appetizers were interesting, food quality could be upgraded. Dining room accommodates loud children well!

Excellent reubens but make sure you substitute the fries for either a house salad or one of their homemade soups. They also have a really good sandwich called the berry club, it is a must try. Great specials on burgers, wings and draft beer everyday it awesome too!24 Jun, 2012Excellent reubens but make sure you substitute the fries for either a house sald or one of their homemade soups.
