Really good food. The dining room is tint, but beautiful. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. My husband had the Shio which is a sea salt, chicken and dashi broth topped with snow crab, pork belly, six-minute egg, nori, enoki mushrooms, garlic oil and scallions. I had Tonkotsu, a pork-bone broth topped with pork chashu, pork belly, wood-ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, soy-marinated egg, crispy shallots & garlic chips, black garlic oil and scallions. We also had pork gyoza. The gyoza were stuffed and really yummy. The menu is small but tasty.
Terrible food. Did not finish. Expensive bad service. I’ve had better ramen from maruchin for 50 cents. Service was bad. Food was bad. Never again.
Recently had lunch here with my boss and another co worker and will definitely return. We split the chicken steamed buns and pork steamed buns as an app and, while they were both tasty, I think the poem is the way to go.I ordered the Spicy Pulled Pork Paitan and it was fantastic (that’s it starting in my profile pic!). Wonderful depth of flavor and just enough heat that the sweat was just beginning to bead on my forehead. Tasty but not painful. Perfect. The broth was flavorful and worth all the effort with the spoon required to get as much of it out of the bowl as possible.I am not a chopstick user but the environment is friendly enough I didn’t even ask for a fork; just applied the chopsticks with more gusto than skill without a single bit of goodness escaping.I have heard several people complain about the prices but they did not seem unreasonable to me.Will definitely go back soon.
Wife and I went for lunch while in Gainesville and it was fantastic! Has the brussel sprouts and the ramen bowls with chicken and the soy sauce one with pork belly. Awesome!
Great lunch spot. Friendly, and prompt service served me my meal in about five minutes. I ordered the spicy pulled pork paitan. Noodles were close to perfectly cooked, but the pork was on the dry side. Slices of pickled ginger added a nice balance to the spicy heat of the dish, which was enough to get my nose running, but not spicy enough to take away from the flavor of the dish. The broth was rish, and almost had a creamy mouth feel. Overall well done dish.
So delicious! The kimchi was the best I ever had. The ramen will change your life.
