Emiliano’s has been in Gainesville forever. There is a reason for that. It is wonderful. Located right downtown, you can sit inside or outside. A little fence and a tree block the street and you don’t feel as if you are sitting in traffic.The food is so good. I have probably eaten here 20 times and never have I had a bad meal. The cuisine is Cuban and Cuban inspired. The Black Beans and Rice are my favorite. I could bathe in them. I also love the Ropa Viejo, the Cuban Sandwich, and the Tres Leches Cake. The service is consistently spot on. We like the fact that they have Saturday brunch. The brunch menu is always interesting.If you live in Gainesville you should definitely visit this treasure.
