First time to Gainesville Florida and from a recommendation from a friend to go to Harry’s Seafood Bar so I did with no regrets probably the beat shrimp and grits that I have ever had so if in Gainesville go to Harry’s Great food and atmosphere!!
The jambalaya was really tasty!!! Sausage shrimp and chicken plus it had a little spicy kick to it. I’m staying in the hotel right across the street so I just took it to go, but the container was so packed. Definitely a good size portion, had leftover for the next day.
Harry’s Seafood is in the downtown area surrounded by an aura of affluent posh and college hipster. Be aware of the large homeless population surrounding this area though and be smart about leaving valuables in plain sight in your vehicle. Harry’s food is delectable. They can turn regular Brussels sprouts into something divine and made me into a convert of southern food and greens. One of my favorite places to eat downtown. Food is creaole/New Orleans style.
