How they got a 4.3 rating is beyond me. Service was horrible. Food was greasy, beans and rice were cold. Felt uncomfortable after my party was finished eating as no check came to table and waitress did not attempt to inform us to just check out at the register.

Really great food, super slow service. I will be fair and say that it was very crowded and looked as if only one waitress was working, but we waited for everything. However, once everything arrived the food was delicious. I had carnitas, which are fried chunks of stewed pork. They were so scrumptious, very authentic. The ambiance is not much. It looks as if this restaurant was opened up in a previous convince store. The owners installed booths and those cool carved chairs that Mexican restaurants have.Reading back over this seems like a negative review, but it isn’t. The food was good and inexpensive and I’ll definitely go back.

I don’t make it out this way that often, but I could not pass up the opportunity to try this restaurant. Located in a strip mall that looks like it is still recovering from the 70s La Pasadita seems to be the start of a facelift in the strip. Upon entry I was greeted with brightly colored chairs, and matching birds hanging from the ceiling. Instructed to take any seat I chose I found the only open table and started to peruse the menu. My heart was set on tacos, but could not pass up an opportunity to try their tamales. The tamale was presented resting on its corn husk slathered in red mole. I had heard good things about the mole here so I was excited to try it. It was moist, and the pulled pork was tender with a little toothiness. The mole was delicious. The perfect mix of smokey, and sweet with a little zing behind it. I chose tripe, tongue, and roppa veha for my three tacos. Presented simply with onions cilantro and lime. A mild amount of gaminess accompanied the tripe. It was sauted with the onions allowing the flavors to mingle. The tongue was a tad on the dry side but was tender and flavorful none the less. The ropa was tasty, a tad salty, but reminded me of delicious greasy spoon food. When finished the food left me satisfied, with a knowledge that I would be back again. LA Tienda has some competition.

Tacos Campechano. Tacos with sausage and steak.28 Mar, 2015As far as Mexican goes.. I eat Mexican st least once a week it’s not my favorite food but it’s my girlfriend’s so basically makes it mine. Until I found this place everything else was bland. This place as soon as you walk in you can see them cooking using fresh ingredients and although their establishment is small the food is a BIG time experience.

Regular for life. My boyfriend and I go here all the time because the food is well priced (the prices just went up actually, but they are still reasonable, $7-9 per person) the customer service is awesome and the food is the best mexican food I’ve EVER had. Everything I have tried so far has been absolutely delicious. the decoration is adorable and the atmosphere is very laid back and calm. I go about once a week, maybe every 2 weeks, and I have never seen more than 3-4 other customers dining which is nice while dining, but I most likely the cause of the recent price bump. Check it out!!!! <3
