I called Satchel’s to order a pizza and got a busy signal. Then I got an email from the Gainesville Sun saying Satchel’s had a fire last night and was closed for repairs. Ordered a deep dish from Leonardo’s. It was one of the worst, blandest, ingredient- stingy pizzas I have ever eaten. Supposed to be deep dish and wasn’t. Steve, we used to eat at 706 2 times a week for years. The last 3 times it was awful- food overbooked, lousy service, and now an awful pizza. I am very sad that Leo’s quality has declined so much. We won’t be back.
Great little deep dish pizza place. Bring the family or come alone . Pizza by the slice . Wheat or white bread choice. Small wine list. Including sangria. Garlic rolls in what or white also were good and smothered in butter. Good toppings! Love the traditional taste and casual atmosphere
The best pizza in Gainesville. Best in town, maybe the best in the South East United States. They are doing it right. Love it love it love it. Go try it.

Nothing particularly special. My experience was nothing of note. The first booth we sat at was dirty so we moved to another. Nearby tables were obviously very worn and hadn’t been replaced in many years. The seat cushions were extremely worn out and not even attached to the booth. Our server was fairly inattentive considering the fact the restaurant is not that big. Other servers seemed to be attentive and providing good service, ours just seemed annoyed to be there. The pizza was decent, very hot when we got it. The selection of toppings was good, and my boyfriend enjoyed the option of eggplant. Overall, it was overpriced for what it was, even more so when considering the wear and tear on the tables and seats. It was ok for a one time meal, but nothing that would get me to go back again.
Very Disappointing. We heard rave reviews about this place and found it, at best, adequate. Nothing special, greasy bread, below average pizza. Probably won’t go back.
Superb pizza served hot and without a quart of grease. Clean floors, tables, and prompt service topped off an enjoyable evening.
