  Please put reviews in order by years…. ’10 , ’11 , ’12 for example.. Reviews have years all mixed up.Hard to make any sense of current or ancient history reviews this way.Poorly put together system.

  The Experience?. This was our company Christmas Party & we were very excited since we had heard it was excellent. Nope. The service was very slow, we sat at the table over over an hour & finally got some bread about 10 minutes before getting our meal. When the meal arrived it was a piece of meat on a plate, that was it. 3 couples, 6 plates with 1 piece of meat on each plate. The waiter never explained it was ala carte. I would have thought that after 6 people only ordered steak, they may have mentioned something. A little explanation would help. That would not have been an issue if we understood that. The steak was great, cooked well. This was a big deal for us & I was very dissapointed. So after dropping over $350 (not to mention the $61 bar tab for 6 drinks) we felt a cheated. Never again.

  Delicious. My boyfriend and I went here for a special occasion and had a wonderful time. We had a reservation and were seated promptly when we checked in. The waitress was informative and attentive to our table. I ordered the filet mignon and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The one negative was that it was so dimly lit, it was difficult to read the menu. The sides are a la carte, which can make your plate look empty if you opt not to order them in addition to your choice of meat. I would recommend this venue for an anniversary, celebration, or romantic date. It was delicious and I was not disappointed.

  HORRIBLE Customer Service. Tried to call the telephone number for a reservation on Valentines for two weeks. Left multiple messages (at least 4!) No response WHAT SO EVER. We used to come here often, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. What kind business has a number posted for reservations, and a voicemail system, but won’t return messages? Understandable if one message got lost in transaction, but more than that? Bad customer service. I understand you can book online, but not everyone has access. We had set aside a good amount of money to spend with you tomorrow night, but obviously we will be spending our money elsewhere from now on.

  I’ve always wanted to eat here. I’m not overly impressed. Steak was good. Sides were fine. Chicken was phenomenal. Great extensive wine menu, the Opus One is hardly even marked up. Most meals are gluten free, I did not even have too mention my diet issues to waiter– get the creme brle it’s huge. I just felt like I was in a Starbucks steakhouse with the ambiance. Needs updating, not anything to brag about really but great service and good food!

  Go Some Place Else. Eate at Marks twice. The 1st time was ok; the 2nd time will be the last. Will never go back, ever Order a stake medium rare; it arrived well done and tough. They brought a second stake within 5 minutes (for a 1 inch steak). It was not juice or pink, it continued to cook on my plate to the point of being well done. I have enjoyed steaks from the best steak house in Chicago. Marks was a terrible steak. The old Black Angus that roamed Florida years ago were far better. Will never go back and do not recommend it. With out a doubt, not the best but the worst steak house in GainesvillePS. The guys at the bar were great
