Have you ever woken up wanting giant portions of average breakfast food at dinner prices? Metro Diner is your place then – what they lack in quality and creativity is easily made up by monstrous portions and an endless menu that’s poorly executed.
Eaten here several times and always have a good experience with service and food. I recommend their breakfast options over their lunch. They have several sandwiches that are alright, but the breakfast items are far better. I prefer the spicy chicken biscuit add egg and cheese with a side of hash browns.

I can’t believe Metro only has a 2.7 rating!! I’ve been going here forever and yes it’s busy! But the service is ALWAYS great. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated AND I always bring everyone with me. That’s one of my favorite qualities about this place. They are consistent so I know I can always bring my friends and family and that they’re going to have a great time. Food’s great! I love the specials. They’re always so creative
My family and I had an amazing lunch at Metro Diner today. We brought our dogs and sat outside on the patio. The extensive menu not only provided an option for everyone (including my vegetarian mother), but also left us wanting more and ensured we would be back. My dad had the most impressive meal, The Pittsburgh Sandwich, consisting of Chicago bread with pastrami or roast beef (they indulged him and gave him both!) topped with melted provolone cheese, a fried egg, french fries, cole slaw, and tomato. The picture would generally speak for itself, but the service was also impressive. The server brought our dogs water when she greeted us and was quick witted and concise in her suggestions. The food came quickly and the portions were enormous. Thank you for making our day special! We will be back.
The servings were large and reasonably priced. The place was insanely busy, but we were seated and served quickly. Very organized chaos.The food was just okay. My toast was cold as was my husband’s. And my poached egg was full of water as if it had not been drained. Might be because they are so busy. Might be because the food is just average.
The diner was pretty good. The staff was quick and friendly, the place was packed and the food was good. My husband and I went twice. The specials change everyday and we lucky enough to get the thanksgiving style waffle and it was fantastic! I found their tomato bisque and black bean burger average. The shrimp Po boy was good.
