Wonderful casual evening you can have over here. Order your food and collect your drink and comfy anywhere at the place. Yes you can lay on the grass too. We’ll I opted to sit near the band playing at that evening. You can truly enjoy beer music and the evening. I haven’t tried anything from the food menu today except the chips but will come for brunch one day.
Best date night spot in town. The food was delicious and having wine by the fire was a great way to wind down the night. The atmosphere is really really nice, and pretty unique for what we have found in Gainesville. The live music was very good the night we were there.
This is an updated review. This place could be great. The food is excellent. We’ve had the beef flatbread and the slider combo (pulled pork, shredded beef, and buffalo chicken.) Great. Fresh, imaginative, delicious. The atmosphere is great. The outdoor seating, some under a large roof, some under the shade of trees is perfect for the Florida weather. Because it is surrounded by big grassy fields and is outside it is kid and dog friendly. There was a musician who was pretty good.The beer and wine selection was great.So why not give it a 5? No table service. In the tiny, poorly organized space there is a line for ordering alcohol, for which you wait and take back to your table. There is another line where you order food and get a number and a runner brings your food to you. No one is really sure who is next in line and the line moves SLOWLY. Because of the poor layout food runners are coming out of doors into which patrons are walking. Little kids are running everywhere. I watched the food runners almost get knocked over 4 times. Someone is going to get hurt.We wanted to order more food but it wasn’t worth waiting in line. Also the lined snaked out into the dining area which was a bummer for the people trying to enjoy their food.
I’ve been to One Love Cafe both as their musician and a patron a number of times and I am always drawn to the steak pesto flatbread. It’s a tough decision then between the sides. The roasted vegetables are always fresh, therefore seasonal, while the Mac n cheese is their unsung hero. Julie and the team are the sweetest people in the world.
