Titletown staple. If you have lived in Gainesville for a few years, and haven’t been to Salty Dog, you are really missing out on a good time. Happy hour is awesome as mentioned in other reviews. Half priced food and good drink deals from 4-7, sometimes longer on special days. Cheap pitchers and wells, and music loud enough to hear during even the most packed of times. They don’t have all you can drink like Balls, but sometimes, Balls is so crowded, its hard to get drinks (plus a cover and tips). Dog never charges cover. Favorite bar in Gville.
