Intimate bar with good music. I have yet to eat at The Bull, but I have frequently found myself drawn in there for drinks after the previous venue has failed to deliver. I love their extensive beer selection, which is easily visible on the large boards above the bar. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I have never had any issue with that there. Occasionally, they have live music in the evenings and I have always enjoyed whomever is playing. I have also been one of the few people at the bar (at a slow time) and I have enjoyed the peacefulness and intimacy that is brought in by the ambiance. All-in-all, it’s a great hangout, whether it’s busy of dead.
Nice and Classy. I like this bar/cafe. The atmosphere is different than any other bar in the area, with a working piano and a what seems like church pews for seating. It is always very clean and never smells like beer. Many of the beers they serve are from small breweries, which is great because they seem to not want to support corporate companies. They also have most of the Swamphead beers available. The beer is sometimes .50-1.00 more than other bars around, but the atmosphere is better than most bars around. I have never had the coffee or sweet treats.
