Worst Customer Service and Ignorant Owner So Not Worth It!. If you are looking to be ignored and treated badly than this is the dive for you. Owner is arrogant and unconcerned with his customers. Don’t believe me just give it a try. Stand back and watch as owner and staff ignores customers. These guys act as though they are Gainesville’s most intellectual, but yet their to dumb to realize the importance of customer service. Get off your high horse/soap box and serve some coffee or go home.

Great Coffee and Great Atmosphere. This is my home-base when it comes to coffee in Gainesville. Volta serves great quality coffee & espresso, and the chic modern atmosphere is a great place to study, get work done, or meet with friends. As some have mentioned, the staff are not the most outgoing in welcoming people in, but they are friendly, in a quiet & simple sort of manner, quick to make recommendations when asked, and very skilled at their job. I’m always pleased with my drink and delight in spending mornings here.

Blows starbucks out of the water. But at $5 for a tall (12 oz) flavored latte, it’s definitely pricier. Must try if in gainesville but probably can’t make it a regular spot.

Love!. We’ve begun visiting Volta every weekend and really look forward to it. Started with lattes which are worth the wait but have moved on to the phenomenal selection of teas – tried maccha for the first time; every single tea we’ve tasted has been a delight and it’s fun to sample exotic-for-Gainesville options. Used to share the food we ordered along with our drinks but it’s so good, now we have to each order our own. This weekend we had tremendous veggie quiche with outstanding roasted eggplant; last week was a tangerine dark chocolate scone that was heavenly. Terrific local art on the walls, very bright and sunny space. Interesting crowd, too –

Went for the first time today. Love the ambience!Reminds me of California coffee shops. Thought it was a bit pricey but definitely worth it in the end. Coffee is visually appealing and amazing, especially their cappuccinos. I always went to Starbucks but I think this place has trumped them.

By far the best coffee shop in Gainesville! In fact, one of the best I have ever been to, including Intelligentsia in LA!

Terrible place. Service sucks. Owner is obnoxious and his employees follow suit. Very expensive. Won’t spend my money there ever again.
