My wife and I went to Yama tonight on a whim and were thoroughly surprised the sushi chef who is also the owner was very helpful and easy to understand. My wife is pregnant so he gave us recommendations for why rolls we can order. They were just around the corner from closing time and had already cleaned up a lot a football they welcomed us in with open arms and served us very good sushi at a reasonable price. Thank goodness this place is less than a mile from our house so we can get good sushi whenever we want.
Went to Yama today for lunch. The sushi was awesome. Fresh fish and everything was delicious. I am a bit of a sushi snob and have to say this will be my go to place for sushi in the Orange Park-Fleming Island-Middleburg area
Don’t eat here.. The food at yama’s is disgusting. My husband and I ordered sushi and a bento box, both were inedible. A frozen dinner would have been more authentic than here.
Nothing special and very small. Nice atmosphere but very small space. The menu was also very limited only offering about 5 actual meals and a list of sushi. We tried a bit of everything and the sushi wasn’t bad but nothing special. Overall we wouldn’t go back but wasn’t terrible.
Great place! The chef is friendly, the food was fresh and really good. I wish Yama Sushi all the best!
HIGHLY recommend!. Restaurant is extremely clean, food presentation is superb, sushi was fresh, and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants affordable and top notch sushi!
