This is an adorable little gem. Loved the outdoor seating, amazing beer selection on tap, great wine selection, great array of small plates & tasty desserts made in house. The owners were working. I think that makes all the difference in the world. This place has a good thing going.
Emily was amazing! Great suggestions on wine. The lava rock cooking was delicious. The fillet was like butter – very tasty. The fruit and cheese plate was a very generous platter with local honey. Go eat here!
Lava Rocks!!. I went here with my family (6 adults – 4 Children, two of which were under 1). The visibly cringed when we walked in but the man who was our server ended up being quite helpful and nice. He seemed a bit concerned at first but warmed up as the night went on. He made great drink recommendations. I ordered the Filet Mignon on the Lava Rock and paired it with the Tortoise red wine. It came with Carrots and Broccoli as well. Usually with Lava Rocks they bring everything out on a separate plate but here they left it on (which leads to over cooking and burning) so that is the only thing I would change. One of the kids had the cheese plate and it looked divine! Very generous portion and nicely plated.
We ordered water and never got it. The ham and cheese pressed sandwich just wasn’t good at all. All bread that was warm and very cold ham and paper thin cheese. Fries were average. There is 1 toilet only and the door is locked.
Sub par customer service and very pricy for the amount of food. I was still hungry when I left and I got an appetizer. The food tasted great and the location was good but that’s about it.
We visited during restaurant week.. Apps and beverages at the bar were spot on. The Cuban flatbread was very nice. We will return for a full meal and a smoke on the front porch.
Place to be on Monday Night. We had a great service and wonderful food for happy-hour price on Monday night. They served good Chilean house wine for $4 and great Italian and Mexican flat breads for only $5. We sat outside and enjoyed good music and fresh air. The service was good, accept for a small over-charge on our final bill, which was corrected immediately.
