  So I had such high hopes for this place… Several of my foodie friends recommend this place. We had about a 25 minute wait at 5:30. This place was packed but no big deal. One thing I did notice is this was with out question the loudest restaurant I have ever been in. Not sure if it was due to the large tables inside or what. For an app we had baked oysters Rockaway. They were awesome and the best thing I ate. The four Kings platter was next. The scallops were very tasty and so was the crab cake. The grouper which they are famous for and the shrimp were both way over fried. The crust was hard and the meat was tough and rubbery. Good thing the drinks were cold and the service was good.We dropped $110 for a family of 4 and other than the appetizer no one really loved the food.

  Very average, the fish dishes were not good at all…overrated and expensive for what they deliver. Service was good and location is good though. Expected much but was disappointed.

  Outstanding seafood and great service! We started with the coconut shrimp then had the Four Kings grilled seafood platter. All were well prepared and delicious. Drinks were great as well. Noisy as previous reviewers have shared…but the best fresh seafood in the area. We will be back!

  Great restaurants on one of the nicest of Florida beaches……food is tasty, very upbeat and fun environment. Good place for a group to visit, better than making the drive to Tampa. I’m not a big Caribbean cuisine fan, but they have a number of straightforward Florida gulf seafood selections. Can be a bit noisy, not the best place for a quiet supper if that is your desire.

  There are several Frenchy’s locations, but the Rockaway grill is by far the best one! They have better atmosphere (happening) and better food! Get there early because it fills up fast, and the service is not compromised.We got the Rockin Pasta and stuffed Grouper–both fantastic! Cigar City beer (local) was decent & the mixed drinks were strong! (Rum runner and bushwacker)

  Love this place! The food, the view, the atmosphere. I could sit there all day after my meal. We hit Frenchies every time we’re up in Clearwater.

  Great food but rushed service and a not very patient host made things less enjoyable. When we arrived on Wednesday around 6pm the location was about 60% full. There was no line. The host was very direct, we did not immediately answer when asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. A few seconds later, as we answered (outside), the host was talking to another host and assigned us to an inside table. From there we were successfully seated outside. Our server was slow in arriving, there seemed to be plenty of servers but we gave here the benefit of potentially having to serve too many tables. The Lava Lobster dip ,served quickly, was half melted and half luke warm. Like someone tried to speed broil it. Our entrees were similarly prepared. The stuffed grouper had perfectly prepared grouper, the crab stuffing and sides more luke warm than hot. My special grouper dish had very well prepared grouper that was served warm. The ginger sauce was pooled at the bottom of the pineapple instead of being drizzled over the fish and rice. The coconut rice was delicious and well prepared. The side of mashed potatoes one of our guests ordered were served cold. Our server took a long time to check on us, letting our drinks run empty and did not ask about refills.
