Our Neighborhood Diner. We affectionately refer to this place as The Coin. It is dated and caters to an older crowd, but we love the kitschy purple vinyl booths and mirrored walls. As far as the food goes, we have our favorites- the Golden Coin burger (a nice bacon cheeseburger) and the wings and Greek selections. We’ve been going there over 10 years and a few times we’ve been disappointed, but 95% of the time, it’s quite good. The staff here is small; sometimes there’s only one waitress on duty. Still, we’ve always been treated courteously and the wait times are reasonable. When we are in a hurry though, we call our order in and just pick it up. There are some very disparaging reviews of this restaurant out there (most readers will know a disgruntled employee review when they see it), but if you are looking for a solid diner, The Golden Coin hits the spot.
