Nice Surprise!!!. We were looking for an eatery near the newly renovated Capitol Theater and found this restaurant gem a mile down the road from it. Family and I dined at the Greektown Grille last night and what a great experience! At first the layout was different but then realized they had a restaurant, patio and banquet room in 3 parts. Very nice!! Our server Danny was really great and his suggestions were accurate. The Menus selections were very good fro a Greek restaurant having eaten teh bay area in a few this one is right up there amongst the best. We all ordered differently. We ate from a variety of appetizer and one was better than the next: the Mussels, Greek French Fries, Spinach & Crab Dip (extra yummy!!), calamari and the Saganaik. The Greek salad was a big hit amongst the group. The lamb perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the bread was enjoyed, soft and warm with a delicious dipping sauce. No one rushed us or made us feel we were taking up space. Can’t wait to go back if I;m in the area. Big parking behind the restaurant in case you don’t see it. Great dining experience!

New Discovery!. Dined at the Greektown Grille last night with several friends. What a great experience! This seemed to be Greek food lifted up!The restaurant is lovely … the decor was so tasteful and there was plenty of room to dine without the next table being part of our conversation. My only suggestion would be for a bit more light … Menus were challenging to read for some of us.The owner came to our table to greet us and ended up pulling up a chair. She explained certain dishes to us, told us of upcoming events, was simply charming. We all ordered differently. The octopus was delectable, the lamb perfectly cooked, the gyro platter plentiful. The bread was soft and warm with a delicious dipping sauce and the desserts were … crazy good!!We sat for conversation long after we had finished dining. No one rushed us or made us feel we were taking up space. Can’t wait to go back! ( aside … Don’t park in the front – two very awkward concrete curbs to maneuver. Park on the side).Great dining experience!

WOW OH WOW!. We felt like our usual favorite, baby lamb chops tonight…but our (very attentive) waiter, Frank, suggested the evening special of Maui, Maui with red pepper/wine sauce. He tried it and practically did back flips. So I gave it a shot. Holy Cow! The sauce was so unique and perfect for the exceptionally cooked fish…my husband was eating off my plate, too. The chef came out, at our request, and said he’s trying a few new items to add to the menu….We heard about a tuna tartar with avocado and other things?? that also sounded interesting… Plus they’re doing some interior remodeling too for Oct. We’re definitely going back! Thanks for a great meal!

Terrible Experience/Do Not Go. We recently went to to Clearwater restaurant with a party 4 adults and two children. We first ordered an appetizer of humas. When it arrived, it was in a small plate that was so small, it was not enough for one person despite the fact that we ordered for four adults. The food arrived at different times as long as ten minutes apart. I myself ordered a gyro dish. It came without the white sauce. Despite numerous requests to the waiter, the sauce never came. I finall asked the hostess and she delivered two small containers of the sauce. One of our party ordered a side order of roasted potatoes. When it arrived, it consisted of one very small potato sliced in four. As my wife tried to speak to the manager, the waiter continually tried to stop her. The manager did make a financial reduction on our bill. On the way out, we met an older Greek couple that were very upset. When we asked what they were upset about, the woman stated that towards the end of their meal, she saw two cockaroaches on the wall next to their table.

Greek town grill. We went to Greektown grill on a fri. night arrived at 6:15. After waiting 20 min. for a server to get our drinks when he did arrive I ordered ice tea took 15 min. to bring the tea [they said they had to make it] 15 more min. for him to return to take our order two people ordered apps. 1 app. came 10 min. later and the other came 1/2 later. So now it is 1 hr. and 20 min. later still no dinner. Other people came in after us got served and left before we even got our dinners. When I asked a gentleman if he was the manager he said he was the host and walked away !!! The waiter blamed it all on the kitchen. all and all it was a two hour ordeal. totaly unacceptable.Do not think I will ever go back, all thou the food was good hardly worth the wait and all the excuses.
