I have been at this location 7-8 times. I like the food but would say that it is good but not great. Service was very good and we were immediately seated for lunch. My colleague had mahi tacos and I had a lobster queen crab entre. This is a good lunch spot but I would go elsewhere for dinner especially if you are looking for a higher end food quality.
First time eating here and loved it. Food was excellent and service was awesome!
Never go on a Saturday night without a reservation! Way to crowded!!!
Absolutely horrible and will never return. My wife, son and I went this past Sunday at 2PM thinking we would miss the after-church crowd. It turns out it wouldn’t matter what time we got there, the service and food would have been sub-par at any time. Upon arrival we counted 10 empty tables in the inside dining area but were told there was a 20 minute wait. That should have been our first clue to leave. After 25 minutes we were told our table was ready and were seated. It took ten minutes for the waiter to arrive and by that time we had our orders ready. We ordered drinks (water, unsweet tea and a Sprite – nothing from the bar) the crab dip appetizer and our entrees (all steam pots). Our drinks took ten minutes to come to the table and when they arrived I asked for sweetener for my tea. It never arrived. I asked our waiter and the waiter from the section next to us but I never got it. I ended up going to the bar and take it from there myself. The appetizer took 25 minutes to come to the table and as soon as it arrived, our entrees came right behind it. This would have been OK except for the fact that we were never given crab crackers or silverware which took another 10 minutes to get from the waiter…due to the servers performing their ridiculous dance routine -which clearly infuriated all the people still waiting for food or to be seated. The appetizer was just OK – nothing special but the entrees were all over cooked. The crab tasted alright but the shells were soft which made them hard to crack to get the meat out. The shrimp in all of our steam pots were way over done to the point they were actually inedible. The lobster in my wife’s meal was also over cooked and bordered on shoe leather like texture. Every entree was just plain bad. To add to this, we were never asked once if we wanted a refill on our drinks or how our food was. Totally unacceptable. Our bill for non-alcoholic drinks, one appetizer and entrees was over $102.00, which is insane given the quality of the product. I can go to Red Lobster and get better food and better service in a timely manner for much less. I will never visit a Joe’s again and recommend you do not either. Horrible service, horrible food and outrageous prices – They will not be in business long with a product like this.
Just seems to get worse every time we go. On this last visit the steam pots were left on so long you could literally tear the crab legs down the center with your bare hands. The lobster was so over cooked it was stiff and hard to chew like rubber and the crab legs were soft and rubbery on the outside, flavorless and mushy on the inside. Everything here is also over priced. I’ll pay $30+ for an entree but I expect it to be cooked properly and if you’re paying on average over $25 per plate the way they nickle and dime you on everything else is insulting. Almost $5 for a cup of soup with the meal & almost $3 for an iced tea (and good luck getting a refill). If the food was really good I probably wouldn’t care so much about the cost, but the food is awful and so is the service. For what you pay at Joe’s you could have a really nice quality dining experience anywhere else. Even Red Lobster is better, and that’s saying something- I feel Red Lobster is to seafood what Olive Garden is to Italian.
The McDonald’s of Seafood. Went back to Joe’s with my wife a few weeks ago after a long seafood hiatus. Though the restaurant was fairly empty, it took about half an hour to get my drink to the table. Keep in mind, I was watching it sit alone at the bar for a good portion of that time because our waitress couldn’t be located. After almost an hour, our food finally showed up and the moment the girl lifted up the pot lid I knew I was in trouble. The crab was so overdone that the shell was rubbery. She gave me shell-breaking tools, but they were of no use for the flimsy creature sitting before me. What little meat I could pull out of the sad crab was overcooked and totally unsatisfying. What clinched it was when their computer system went down and we were basically forced to sit for another hour while they tried to figure out how to give us a bill. Here’s a crazy idea: write down what we ordered on paper, along with the prices, add it up and add sales tax. But no, they were literally standing around with no idea in the world how they could possibly give us a bill. Eventually I think someone figured out how to use a calculator and we were able to leave. All of the above wouldn’t be so bad if the prices for this terrible food weren’t so high. Between two meals and two drinks, it cost about $100. Yeah, never going again. Lesson learned.
Food was ok. Nothing great. Nothing horrible. Very kid friendly loved they had a playground outside for kids. Price is a bit high for what we got in our opinion. Because it wasnt anything great and the orice is a little high thats why I put I did not like it. Drove 45 minutes just to eat here for my birthday and the onr rhing I wanted to order they were out of :/
