They ask you to seat yourself which is a bit strange and the servers were not very attentive and don’t speak English very well but All of the food came out extremely quickly and it tasted delicious! I would definitely go back.
Anything Goes!. It doesn’t matter what you get as far as the combos or the individual food item, it is all good. The way they make the food seems always to be the right way and the flavoring is great. What is good too, the flavors are consistent. You can count on the food being the same.
Lunch Combos.. Los Mayas has some lunch combos on the menu ranging between $5.25-$7.50, which is less than the dinner options and still a decent portion size. They brought chips and salsa for us while waiting for our meal. We had the tamale with rice and beans. The chips are good, the salsa is nice and ‘picante.’ The tamale and beans were hot, but the rice was almost room temperature. A thorough description of what to expect with the tamale wasn’t on the menu, but when the tamale came out it was chicken inside and coated with red sauce and salty ground beef on top. Good salt level! It was a very large portion of food for the price and the quality was okay, Los Mayas accepts credit cards, is casual attire, has take-out: Serving times are lunch and dinner. Full bar and TV.
This place is by far the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. .. Would rather have Taco Bell. I was unknowingly charged $2.50 for salsa and when I approached the waitress she said that’s the charge and pretty much said oh well.. She refused to remove the charge. .. Will not go back!
Shame on the owners. WTSP did a red alert about this restaurant and the violations are enormous and we are petioning the health dept for closureThe nerve of these people to not focus on the safety of ythier patrons YUK!http://www.wtsp.com/behindthekitchendoor/article/331623/0/RED-ALERT-Roaches-remain-after-Mexican-restaurant-reopens?odyssey=tabtopnewsbclarge
Worst Mexican food I ever had. My co-workers go there for lunch. First time I ordered Nachos (supposedly with everything) was absolutely discusting (my dog would not even touch it) and it was over $10. Today I thought I would give it a second chance (Vegetarian Plate). Grease was running all over the plate and they even charged 2$ for extra sour cream. The whole thing was a disgusting mess. I showed everybody in the office and nobody would even want to eat this crap for free
Best Margaritas!. If you are a Margarita drinker you will not find a better Margarita anywhere! I grew up eating at this restaurant, back when it was Los Mariachis, and since I moved away I have not been able to find a comparable Mexican restaurant. The food is consistently delicious. I love their Chimichangas and the Tacos al Pastor. Whenever I’m in Clearwater I have to eat here.
