buyer beware! Our granddaughters are visiting from Montana and my wife (Grandmother) wanted to take them to on a special outing that little girls love… tea with their grandmother. We always try to shop locally. They were so excited when they went in dressed for tea.. the owner met them with an attitude and they were told they don’t serve kids under 10 and they needed to leave! The girls were so disappointed. They felt like they had done something wrong. This is not the first time this owner has been rude to kids. If I could give her a negative score I would.

Absolutely worst experience of my life! Had my baby shower there last year which was very nice. Went a few times after and had a decent experience. Well that all changed when I went in with my husband and baby yesterday just to purchase some ginger tea from the front of their store. Mind you, we werent even going in for lunch or anything. My baby is 9 months old and was sitting in her stroller very well behaved. Didnt even make a peep. Anyway, as I was walking through the door, the old lady owner (Erikas mother) came up with a nasty attitude. She didnt greet us, nor was she warm, kind, friendly, or welcoming. I honestly dont even remember what was said but her body language, attitude, and tone said it all. When I kindly asked her for ginger chai tea, she hurried over to where it was, grabbed some, and rushed to check us out. My husband and I didnt even have time to look around, and she made us so uncomfortable and made it obvious she did not want us there. Only when we were leaving did I mention I had my baby shower there last year and then her attitude changed. I guess she remembered that my mom and I spent BIG bucks there for my shower and also other luncheons. DO NOT COME HERE! You will he treated like crap from the miserable mother/owner. They clearly hate children and anyone with children. I can tell you from experience, there are much much better tea rooms out there with better tea, food, and service. Dont waste your hard earned money at this awful awful place. Too bad for them because my family and friends always spent money here but they have said they will join me in boycotting this place permanently!
The shop is decorated very nicely. Large selection of teas, teapots, and accessories. The food. Wow. Sandwiches, scones, strawberry jam, and the tea. Amazing. And the service was great, too
Charming, delicious Gluten free!. We enjoyed a lovely high tea. Delicious flavors and wonderful gluten free selections. The rest of the party enjoyed regular items, but I never ever felt like I was missing out as the food was that good. The service was excellent with a charming atmosphere and the staff was careful to keep my food safe. We also enjoyed shopping in the gift shop (so hard to choose from all the sweet tea pots!) We will definitely return to dine and shop.
