Meh… I went and got the all you can eat sushi. The sushi and appetizers were pretty good, except the house salad was wilted and drowned with ginger dressing. The service was mediocre; our waitress was sitting in the corner playing on her phone the whole time and didn’t smile once. So basically food good, service bad.
We have been going to this restaurant since they first opened about 7 years ago. While I’ve never been blown away by the food or service here, it was good enough for me to come back. But my last few visits have been very disappointing. Especially my last visit. Our server seemed annoyed verging on angry the moment we sat down. No smile, he seemed in a rush and was just generally unfriendly. Halfway through our meal he disappeared and a woman, who could not seem to crack a smile, served us the rest of our meal. When we had an issue with being over charged for one of the kids meals due to a server misinforming us about their ‘free kids meal on Sundays’, the manager refused to fix the problem and said that we should have known that that was their policy, even though we specifically asked our server about it before we ordered. The manager seemed genuinely interested in making his customers happy and solving a simple issue. I’ve come to see from this and other experiences at this restaurant that they will nickel and dime you for everything. There is a complete lack of friendliness or customer service, and the restaurant is severely in need of some cleaning. It feels very dark and dingy in there. I’m not a very hard person to please, but this place makes little to no effort try and please their customers. Today will be my last time at this restaurant and I would definitely NOT recommend it to anyone. Try Zab Thai instead, not exactly the same type of food, but it is delicious and they are super friendly!
Food Not Good!. Food had bland taste. White sauce was very sweet, way too much sugar. Paid over $20 for a to go order of steak and shrimp. Bad value for the money.
We moved into Clermont recently and tried this place a few times. Every time the service has been horrible! The food is gross – got dynamite roll and salmon was bad! Ordered Osaka for 2 and it comes with 2 beers so we ordered them and at the end the waitress said it only comes with one and charged us for a beer we never drank. The staff is soooo rude! Blows my mind how they act you do not feel like a valued customer will not ever go back!
I went here 2 days ago with my family and really had a good experience. We had the all u can eat sushi special which is a great deal. This includes soups, salads and appetizers and noodles!! Go hungry because you will want one of everything;) there is a 15% charge for food wasting. The service was good as well so according to previous reviews, it seems as though the management saw the poor reviews and took care of that.
WOW Great Service. We dined there today for lunch for my Daughter’s Birthday. Robata’s is her favorite. When we arrived, there was no one else in the Hibatchi area–Yet we were still treated the same as when we have a whole group (there was only the two of us). The chef was very entertaining and the staff extremely attentive. For dessert they served a complimentary fried ice cream which was delicious. We will definitely be going back.
Just left Robata, very upset I called ahead even tho its not busy there, I wanted to let them know it was my daughters birthday,we are a family of 5 and we order appetizer, never got it, drinks never got filled server ignored us someone else dropped off check with out offering desert even though hibachi chef was told by us it was my daughters birthday he was a fun nice chef, but portions were smaller and service was horrible, im a server and my husband is a rest. Mgr. They treated us like trash, very upset.
