We decided to be Tourists last night and checked out the CB Pier. Beautiful pier! It is a destination spot complete with showers, restaurants, shopping, night-life (not too late). Enjoyed a very small Chardonnay at the Rikki Tiki Tavern. Fun people on the pier, fisherman catching Bonnet Heads and Catfish with little boys squealing with delight. Waited a short 30 minutes for a table at Pelican’s Bar & Grill. We were greeted quickly by the waitress – she was a very nice gal. There was a LARGE table of 25+, so we expected a delay. Pelican’s emptied out just after sunset – no more view!Seated at 8:30. Ordered drinks and dinner right away. Waited 45+ minutes for our meals. We ordered:Oysters – Cape Cod oysters were superb. The 2 oz plastic container of Cocktail Sauce was woefully small for a dozen oysters!Coconut Shrimp – $14 provided six shrimp with no visible coconut flakes. Another $2 and the Caesar Salad replaced French Fries. Very disappointing dish. We have ordered Coconut Shrimp at other restaurants and never received such heavy breading with no Coconut flakes. The breading was more Beer-battered, bloated and eclipsed the shrimp. Southern Fried Gator – $15 delivered a small metal bucket of a handful of Gator on top of French Fries. Mango Habanero sauce was fantastic (not homemade)!!We were not offered any beverage, appetizer or comp item considering the wait. At no time did we complain. We will go back and enjoy light refreshments, the view and the stores. No dining though.

Now, Thats the Burger in Paradise! (and just maybe the Worlds Best Fries). The Boss and I were on a Son Run, off to see the grandson in J-Ville, when we looked at each other and said Feel like lunch. So we got off I95 and headed East until we saw water. Took a look at the Spoon and headed up to the Cocoa Beach Pier to take a look around. As we strolled the Pier, I noticed a big sign that said the burger was a mix of brisket, beef short rib and chuck. So I said to the Boss Hey, Boss! I gotta try that burger!.Calvin met us at a nice outside table, overlooking the beach. Cal was professional and friendly, telling us about Cocoa. Enough about Cal Let me tell you about the burger and fries. The Burger was great, perfectly cooked (medium) with nice slice of tomato and a couple of long slices of half garlic pickles and some lettuce (never any mayo for me!). As JB says I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes. Well, these fries were something else. Dont know how they were cut; on some kind of new fangled contraption-ator but these chunks were deep fried perfectly and dusted with a little salt while warm. Absolutely best fries I have ever had. Ice cold Stella topped it off perfectly.Cal Thanks for a great lunch!

View is nice…food sucks & is pricey..fish dip was pure mayonaise & they measure the alcohol… I expect that in a fancy restaurant but not one that’s a bar on a pier.

We had a group of 4 for dinner. Fried clams, 2 fish n chips and a big fish sandwich haddock prepared blackened. All Food was prepared properly and tasty. A good burgers and seafood joint with a great location on a pier.We got lucky and watched a rocket launch at the cape after dinner.

Great view; thats it. Mahi sandwich was over cooked and tough. I would have rather had Long Jon Silvers.
