Call me a bbq snob if you will but for some reason this bbq has come up short for me both times I have visited here. I visited here some four years ago and recently which for me the previous visit all I remembered was that it was more of a northern style bbq which ain’t what this southern boy is looking for. First I would like to say it appears this bbq is prepared up right but the execution and delivery has left me seeking bbq elsewhere. The smoked fried chicken wings were good but they lacked garnish like celery or blue cheese and for $9.99 I would think you could get a little more than a basket of ten wings. For my meal I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast the pork had a nice flavor profile but it was watery and on top of that they added sauce so by the time I got to it I had a soggy bottom bread. My buddy George complimented the ribs to the waitress and which she played along but the owner just kind of seemed like he was more concerned that we were leaving to free up his lack of table space. I understand it’s a small place but you can’t make people feel rushed because of what you lack. I am a extremely fast eater and I believe the check was brought out before I finished and the place wasn’t even full. The beans were good and the jalapeno corn bread good just a little over baked or a day old or so. They get a strong three star from this Florida cracker critic. misterswfl.com
