I would rate this place 4.5. We arrived two minutes early for our 5:00 reservation. It was raining. The hostess saw us pull up and yet waited until I opened the door to ask us to stay outside in the rain until she got the chefs permission to let us in. Once seated our service was adequate – not great but adequate. The waiter could have improved the experience by slowing down and better describing the 4 specials of the day. This place has approximately 13 tables – very quaint and cozy with views of the bay and nice piped in music. The meal started off with flatbread crackers and a trio of spreads – liver pate, salmon pate and whipped butter. Next came a warm roll. Although the entrees may seem pricey, they include soup, salad and dessert and I felt the quality and quantity of food was a good value. The salad was made table side with fresh greens, balsamic dressing and your choice of freshly grated Parmesan, shrimp Rosa maria and/or gorgonzola. All salad ingredients were premium. I ordered veal tenderloin with prosciutto and Swiss cheese, served with a scoop of delicious potatoes and chopped veggie saut. Mild flavored but delicious. I will order this again. My husbands steak & scampi came with 3 jumbo shrimp. We topped off the meal with bananas foster served with Hagaan Daz vanilla ice cream.
