Long wait not worth it. We showed up just as they were opening and they told us that our food would be an hour to prepare went down the road to triad cafe and the food was great no wait and we didn’t have to order at the front and self serve you actually get a waitress
Beware of new Dinner and Lunch only Menu. We have been coming to Camellia for many year’s and I have always enjoyed the alligator primer and the grouper sandwich for the main course. Well on the this March 23, 2015 visit, I was disappointed that they were out of alligator and the grouper sandwich was now only on the new ‘Lunch Menu’ which forced me to select from a small and very expensive dinner menu!
Oyster Po’ Boy. Start with the black bean salsa, it’s delicious! I had the oyster po’ boy and a couple Rolling Rocks that really hit the spot. Great place, friendly staff and wonderful food! Can’t wait to come back.
Another good dinner at the best place in Everglades City. Best hamburger I’ve had in ages–the blue cheese mushroom concoction. Will definitely return to sample local fish specials.

Best in town…. …and I wish I lived closer! Loved the vibe here: super low-key atmosphere, but great eats. Food top notch. (This is NOT a white-tablecloth, valet, sommelier sort of place…but if you’re looking for that in the Everglades, perhaps you should reconsider your entire trip.) On our recent visit on a rainy night, we shared a clam app. and a blue cheese burger (the carmelized mushrooms were heavenly) while a good live band played. When the next table graciously offered to let us try some frog legs (both sauteed and fried preparations; they had brought the meat to the restaurant to be cooked), our night was made.
