With my recent stay in Everglades City, I was a bit overwhelmed by the fact that almost all seafood options at the local restaurants were fried.However, the fried seafood at City Seafood was the best in town I had; it wasn’t greasy, it was well cooked, and the flavors were not masked by extensively used oil. Though the real treat they offer is their stone crabs.
City Seafood is definitely one of my favorite places to go in Florida.As many have mentioned, this is the place for excellent stone crab claws at great prices. Additionally, here you’ll find really great alligator and maybe the best grouper sandwich anywhere.I love the atmosphere here. Unlike a few other reviews I’ve seen, the deck dining area is not only clean, but a great setting with a wonderful view. Also, the staff is always really cool and friendly, and every bite of every dish has been some of the freshest and most delicious I’ve ever had anywhere.Go to City Seafood – you won’t be disappointed.
