The pizza is always good. Other dishes are ok but over priced. Rosedales Brick Oven has better choices and is a better value

Giovanni’s Restaurant. If anyone says Facebook/social networking doesn’t work, they are kidding themselvesWe have been in North Naples for the last 10 months and pretty much have decided that this is where we want to be! While we’ve been here deciding, we’ve been checking out the local North Naples restaurants, as we want to have a ‘go to’ restaurant in the area (so we don’t have to drive so far to have a great meal).Giovanni’s Ristorante Italiano of Naples, FL ‘friended’ our North Naples Living page on Facebook, so of course, them being an Italian Restaurant, I had to ‘check them out’. (social networking big time)I sent the information on to my better half, and we found the menu to be great, the hours worked for us so we decided to stop in while running some errands on this Saturday afternoon. Now Giovanni’s Ristorante is located in a shopping plaza, in the back corner, so you definitely would need to know where you were goingWe arrived right as they opened at 4pm on Saturday – at first we thought they might be closed, but when looking closely, we saw the ‘Open’ sign. When entering the restaurant, it was dark, but after a minute or so, the whole place lit up! Nice candle-lite, wonderful music, tablecloths & cloth napkins, beautiful fabric on the seats, great bar – the ambiance was just perfect! After being seated, we checked out the menu – I went directly to the MartinisGiovanni’s has a whole list of Martinis, so it was a little hard to choose since I only allow myself onewhat I chose was the Dirty Rain-tini – rain organic vodka, dry vermouth, olive juice and bleu cheese filled olivesOh My Goodness – it was great! For appetizer, we choose the ‘Lolly Pop Lamb Chops’ and they were delish – grilled with an excellent seasoning, yum!We each had our salad with the House Creamy Parmesan Peppercorn Dressing and that hit the roof, so yummy! The garlic rolls were so good and just perfect for ‘sopping up the sauce’.Dinner consisted of Pollo Rollata-Tender chicken breast stuffed w/ prosciutto, provolone and basil, served with mushrooms and artichoke hearts in a light homemade marinara sauce for the husband and for me, Frutta di Mare with scallops sauted to perfection in garlic and oil. Served with our light marinara white wine sauce over linguini. OMGoodnessand the wine we had with dinner was the House Chianti, Biagio. Delish all the way around.Of course, no excellent dinner would be complete without dessertwe had the Chocolate Cake, with Rich layers of chocolate cake and creamy frosting and two forksthere was very little left on the plateOverall, the whole dinner was fabulous and we would definitely bring our family and friends to Giovannisand if you get a chance to visit, you will love it.Being in business since 1999, this Italian Restaurant is Family owned & operated – they offer Lunch, Dinner, Catering, Beer Tastings, and a Private Room is available.Give them a try when you’re in the area or when you’re looking for an excellent Italian Restaurant, 5975 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, Florida 239-353-9440 http://www.giovanni-naples.com
