Terrible service even for such a small place. Even the most simple requests such as for salt, or a spoon were either forgotten. The chilie (which was good by the way) didn’t come with a spoon, and after asking I had to wait 5 minutes for that to be brought out. Me and my mother both ordered the filet, I asked for a rare steak and my mother asked for hers medium. The server reversed our two orders which when we cut into them looked nearly Identical. My steak was cooked medium on one side, like the chef forgot about it, and medium rare on the other side. I asked for ketchup for the steak fries and received it nearly ten minutes later. The amount I was given was laughable, probably a tea spoon, even less than the pitiful amount of dressing that my parents were given. My sister got the flank steak and was not physically able to cut it without my assistence. My father liked the salmon ad my mother enjoyed the steak while I was very disappointed and my sister could not even finish.

This is a quaint Uraguaian Steakhouse that is a bit off the beaten path but only minutes away from the usual highend, cold, and snobby restaurants of 5th Avenue. It is located in the heart of the Latino community of East Naples off of Radio Road in between Livingston and Santa Barbra. The outward appearance of the strip mall isn’t special but once you step into MFR it is like stepping into another world. There are beautiful hand crafted leather chairs, Uraguaian Cowboy decor and most importantly a big beautiful charcoal grill releasing the most wonderful aroma from the choice steaks they prepare for their family.. You. The prices are unreasonably, reasonable. Which I could only assume would be like that in order to allow everyone of all incomes and backgrounds to generously compensate a top notch wait staff that lives in this struggling East Naples Latino community. Another wonderful thing about MFR is how they go above and beyond. They hire local artists to create an exciting atmosphere that is unmatched anywhere! From hiring a fire dancer, salsa dancers, or even bands to entertain handfuls of guests at a time because of the very limited seating. It would not be an understatement to label this exquisite restaurant a diamond in the rough, and it’s well worth the drive.
