Great place to taste Greek food, we go there often and we have not been disappointed. Food is plentiful, the service is great and the prices are reasonable. If you live in any of the larger cities in the northeast US or Toronto and are familiar with the Greek communities and restaurants available in those cities you may be disappointed bc Naples does not have anywhere near the number of restaurants but Pelagos is really the closest thing to some of the best Greek restaurants in those cities although it is smaller in size and the menu not as large you will still get truly great Greek food.

I was kind to give my experience here a 1.0. I had the worst service I have ever experienced in my life and I paid over $50 for this experience. When we were given our table, we waited a long time for a server who didn’t smile nor did she even ask us what we wanted to drink. (we were given water, no options offered.) The place was busy, but that shouldn’t excuse bad service. The food was not worth the almost $20 a plate, and no one ever checked back to find out if we were even enjoying the food we were given. I was there to write a research paper for my school, which will be read aloud in front of my classmates so they can hear how bad my experience was at this restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and most definitely will not return.

I walked in to this place unintentionally with a work group after a long meeting. I can tell you this place soooo good for the soul that day. Now, being a cultural snob at times when I know that my home city probably has the best Greek food by far, my tastebuds were extremely impressed. As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was welcomed by so many familiar hearty scents of the fare I was about to have.I kept it simple with your traditional greek staples for lunch. I ordered a gyro, and also shared a tzaziki plate and dolmas. They were accompanied by a basket of warm pitas. Another time I ordered their octopus special, and the texture and flavors were so tender and with bright citrus accents.Service was warm and inviting. They were attentive to our wait, and even welcomed us with another basket of warm pitas. My gyro was more than plenty, and the tzaziki had a nice substantial texture with the right tang. A colleague ordered their ribs, and I couldn’t understand why until they brought it out and I had a bite. The meat fell right off the bone, and the greek spices were jampacked with so much diverse flavor.I’m not sure about the background of Pelagos Cafe, whether or not it is owned by a family, but that’s the feeling I got when I walked in. I was ready to throw down the plates. Definitely a must-go place.
