Very casual. Beer in can served in plastic cup. My husband was happy with his fish sandwich and fries. My blackened open faced prime rib sandwich was zesty but very over cooked. Thank God for au jus. The couple next to us talked up the chowder but we did not order.

Mediocre at Best. Should have known better than to eat here when we walk in right at prime lunch hours and the place is dead empty. The waiter was very nice and talked up the chowder, so my husband and I got a bowl to share. It was ok, but not as great as it was talked up to be. My husband ordered the fish of the day as a sandwich and fries. He ate the fries and said they were good but the fish actually didn’t come as a sandwich as ordered. He tried the fish and said it was tasteless, he only ate a piece or two and that was it. I got the ceasar salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was good so I just ate that and left most of the salad which was just chopped iceburg lettuce. These few items cost us about $40.00 and it was most definitely not worth it. Would not go back.
Loves It!. After spending the past winter here the Pelican Bend has become a favorite casual restaurant. Beer is cold, food is good , staff friendly & atmosphere is excellent. Nuff said!
Yum. Love this place! You can’t beat the sauteed fish…delicious!!
Best Peanut Butter Pie in town!
Good fish. This restaurant has nothing special about it at first glance. The decor is crude, the servers are aloof (if not rude) and the clientele are decidedly uncool. Yet, people wait two hours to get in (they do not take reservations). The reason is their catch of the day which is sauteed in a thin crust. I am not a big fan of fish but this was among the best I have tasted. I also recommend the baked sweet potato. The prices are reasonable. The service is efficient but not friendly.
