A really cool spot, that could be so much better, basically the only thing going for this place is the atmosphere and the billboards tables. As for their food…well I haven’t tried it, because it took 30 minutes just to get a drink…that is Bud Lite in a bottle for $5.00…just criminal to charge that for a bottle. My suggestion is to pregame in parking lot before you come to peek in on the place, its worth a look around, play a game of pool, and bring a flask.

Go for the scenery…not the food. Because they’re historic, I guess they figure they don’t have to try too hard. We listened to tourists rave about the setting and the view as each party walked past our table, but the menu is all about basic, uninspired food. Fish sandwiches are served broiled, blackened or fried; we had a grouper reuben that was just OK. Don’t make a special trip…but if you’re in EC anyway, and want to check out the neat interior, go for it…stay to eat only if the scene really grabs you.
A horrible dining experience. We had an hour and 30 minutes until our airboat ride (which was a awesome experience) and decided to get a bite at this historic restaurant. They were not very busy and we were the second table seated indoors. The doors did not close so we had to keep getting up to close the entrance door as a very strong wind came through the restaurant. While we were ordering drinks the waiter knocked my sons fork on the floor and then just picked it up and put it back on the table. In 20-20 hindsight we should have left right then. Well over an hour later the 10 tables that came in after us were all eating or done and we still did not have our food. I was pissed and we were starting to run out of time so I asked a different waiter what was up? She said it was a free for all in the kitchen and waiters just grabbed food as it came even if a different waiter ordered it, and my waiter was not very aggressive, and this was said with a chuckle like it was supposed to be funny. I got the manager and he said they could start my order right away which was ridiculous after being there an hour. We were out of time and had to go and they had the balls to try to charge us for our meals. We did pay for our drinks and soup I had after asking for it 5 times. Not sure how the food is, the soup was not memorable but the service was very memorable in a bad way.
