This review is based on 6-7 visits every year for the last 4-5 years. Consistency is rock solid because the chef is always in. That many visits for our 70 days or so in Florida each year means that this restaurant does it right. Food taste is the best in Broward at this price or possibly any price. We choose an appetizer between us two and two main courses as we find most times we cannot finish an appetizer and main course each. His specials and anything with a middle eastern flavour is what we like to order. Many fresh fish included in the daily specials but we have had duck and lamb chops, all delicious. Sides are included and plentiful, vegetables of a variety not often found elsewhere. Not included: too much salt, too much fried or too spicy. Considering the quality, inclusion of sides and portion size, prices are very fair. Service has always been gracious and appropriate. Booking there today for Tuesday coming.
Fairly Overrated. My wife and I arrived for our 5:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, that’s all that happened right for the evening. In my opinion, it shouldn’t take almost 45 mins to receive an appetizer of 2 soups that were probably already made in large quantities. It probably would have taken longer had it not been for my wife asking for their whereabouts. Entrees were okay, not spectacular. Her fish was actually quite bland but I admit my venison was nice and tender. The accompaniments were so minimal that we each ran out of them long before we were done with the main focal points of the entrees. Spending $120+ for 2 appetizers and 2 dinners (no wine, just water) was way overpriced. Definitely better establishments out there for comparable food. I highly doubt we’ll be back.
