Pizza Disappointment. Can someone please understand that food not only needs to taste good it also need to be aesthetically inviting.I just ordered a Puttanesca Pizza which has fresh roma tomatoes, garlic capers and black olives. and fresh bail.When I opened the box there were these salad size MAMOTH BLACK OLIVES all over the pizza it looked like a pizza topped with palmetto bugs, no fresh basil, and these MAMOTH SIZE SALAD TOMATOES nothing Roma about them. Because the pizza was so saturated with these large tomatoes the bottom was soggy. Very acidic because the tomatoes over power whatever cheese was in the pie.Sorry Caf Italia there are many great pizza guides and pizza chefs that can demonstrate how to make a more intense flavorful puttanesca pizza. Have you heard the expression Less is More. Try making that same pizza with sliced smaill black olives and I do mean Black not purple olives. Roma tomatoes sliced thin and fresh garlic not jarred garlic, and lots of fresh basil and capers and some real Mozzarella, It really is not difficult to make alittle effort to get it right. Those olives you used on my pizza go on salads and are not Black. There is a place on Biscayne and 54th st Andiammo try their version of a Puttanesca nothing large and excessive and only the right ingredients. It allows the pizza to have a burst of fresh flavors as opposed to being so acidic. There are some nice dishes on your menu but this pizza was a terrible disappointment. I do hope you improve the pizza after all your only competition in the area is Spris, and the cheap places like papa johns, and dominos.I hope you improve your pizza and change those terrible ingredients please use the correct ingredients and you will see the difference in the orders made for this pizza.

Consistently good. My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for years and have NEVER had a bad or even mediocre meal. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We take our entire family often and have always had good food and excellent service. The mussels are fabulous and the garlic rolls are the best!!!
Best Italian Food in Coral Gables. My favorite italian restaurant. The atmosphere is very romantic and the service is excellent. Great wine selection and the food is always amazing. The meat lasagna and chicken parmigiana the best!
It Use to Be Good. Our office would always order from Caffe Italia. Most of us loved the Spaghetti Carbonara, but lately it has not tasted the same. We maybe thought they got a new cook, but they told us that was not the case. The last 2 times we ordered from them, the food was bland and the Carbonara, always our favorite, was also bland with an overpowering smell of egg. Guess we will give them one more chance and see how it goes.
A Place to Return To…. My husband and I have been returning for years. If given a choice, this is one of my favorite return-to spots! The food is always good. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean and makes you feel as though you’re on a date! Good wine selection as well. My husband is taking me out for dinner tonight, and guess where I chose!
Da Bomb. I’m 32 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. The food is awesome and I love coming back. I’m a creature of habit so I always get the chicken or veal francese which is delicious and for desert I get the chaja which is amazing if you’re craving something light, smooth and tasty. The pizza is also great, it’s all about the sauce for me, and Caffe Italia get’s it right. On top of that portions are big, service is good and friendly. Lucky for me I know live a few blocks away so I get to visit more than ever.
