The worst embarrassing and humiliating experience at a restaurant ever. My friend had was having lunch there which he consumed more than $200 by himself and had more than half a bottle left paid and waited 15 min for me. When I got there I wanted to buy him a bottle of champagne (Krug) which is $300 and I was told because my friend already paid he only had 1.5 hours he could stay at the table because that’s what the rules are. As I look around there are clearly 10 open tables and the recommended I drink the bottle at the bar. It didn’t make sense that we do that so I called the manager to explain and to see how he can accommodate our request so he mentioned those are the rules. He also stated we can find this on their website and if we didn’t like it we can get escorted out by the police! This a place I have never had any issues with and I have spent a lot of money in but I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION. I also called corporate and they also referred me to the website. I understand we have rules to go by but when a customer is consuming at your restaurant, you should think outside of the box to make them happy.
We have been going to Huston’s/Hillstone since we moved to Florida fifteen years ago. It is probably the most reliable food in Miami and priced appropriately for the prices they charge. It is constantly a mob scene, very noisy and not conducive for a romantic evening. Reservations are not reliable but its better than waiting forty minutes for a table. The best time to go is at 6;00 pm. If you are watching your weight, this is not the place to dine. There are many hidden calories.
Eating at one of my favorite places. Close to our hotel. We are tired. And it’s raining. A perfect combination. Great location. Reservation policy is a bit funky. Grace period for a reservation? What’s the point of making one?
Horrible and despicable management. Was actually asked to leave after spending quite a decent amount of money and being a long time patron (never again) because i raised my voice across a loud bar to call over a friend who had just arrived. disgusting display led by the arrogant manager named colin.
Arrogant. One of the least friendly and arrogant hostesses in Miami…Also an unprapered managers by the name of Colin in the industry….Believe both him and the hostesses go back to training classes…
Top notch atmosphere, service and food. The rating makes no sense. Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for.
