What a gem ! Very inviting upon entering – start with cerviche & house margarita. Interesting tiger shrimp dish, flavorful & filling. The second margarita had the desired effect when I walked back to my hotel.
Had high expectations given reviews and looking forward to something beside the routine Rosa Mexicana. Not sure what was worse – the food or the service. Horrible. AVOID.
Authentic and as filling as it gets. This beautiful place has my heart for true Central American inspired fare. The lunch special is probably the most fair pricing I could get for such an all-inclusive meal. It brings chips and salsa (Blue corn, and two salsas-one spicy and savory, and the other mellow and sweet), a tall agua fresca (basically a pure fruit….i can’t call it juice or water. Just the most refreshing drink to help cleanse the palate), and an entree (I opted for the cochinita pibil huarache and my father had the mole-absolutely sublime). The pork was tender and aromatic, the onions and guac to accompany it accented and did not overpower it. My dad’s mole is the best I have ever had. You wouldn’t know it was chocolate-based if they sold it at Hershey Park. Finally, they bring you a wrapped paleta (popsicle) with another fruit. Spicy mango and strawberry. Frickin refreshing, and I barely finished it. After a meal like that, you need a nap. They host public events, and I hear their cocktails and margaritas are killer! I will be back!
Im so glad I had my birthday luncheon at Talavera. From the Margaritas, chips and homemade Salsa to the best cochinito pibil ever; Talavera is one place that will become a regular for me.
Fun and Good. Love this Mexican restaurant. Good food and service. I love their enchiladas with tomatillo sauce.
Tex-mex done right. I always have the queso fundido (El Poblano), it’s a must have. Their margaritas are on point as well! miamiculinarytours.com
Busy but great food. We had the ceviche verde, as good or better than ever before. Then the mole pueblano. Iny local restaurant in Utah does this to a world class perfection but ytalavera rivaled it. A great meal!
