Decent food at best. Consistently terrible service.
Good food. Terrible service.. The tortellini aurora was good. The service was so bad that it ruined the experience. The plate they brought out was dirty. When I asked them for a clean one, they never brought one. I had to grab one from another table. I had to serve myself my own water. Finally, we had to wait an hour (literally) for the bill.
This my son’s favorite italian place. The white pizza is really good and my favorite is their Pasta Fagioli, the best I have ever had.
Villagio Restaurant is a Classic to the Gables.Every time I visit there shop it feels a memorable experience.Last night I felt a little adventures and wanted to change, the server suggested fresh mozzarella burrata with prosciutto as an appetizer, OMG delicious fresh as it can be, my wife had a risotto frutti di mare that was to die for and I order there 10oz filet mignon that melt like butter in my mouth, that is how tender it was and for dessert there classic signature apple pie( I never try such a great dessert in my life) service is always up to par and friendly, manager checked on us a few times and mentioned valentines specials. Hopefully I am in the gables around valentines. Buon appetito!!!!
Food and service was great, but on top of that I got my cherry on top when server and manager came back to the table to return an extra hundred dollar bill I put by mistake (the check was $162, I usually leave 20% $32 if the service is above my expectations so I did, I give the check back to the server and ask for $5 back, right after 30sec. Server and manager come back and ask me how was that possible if there was $300 and that I possibly have made a mistake, and handed over the $5 I asked back and the extra $100 I put by mistake.I don’t usually write reviews if there is a restaurant I don’t like I don’t go back or if I like I do go back, defenetly I will come back I loved the honest action and experience they offered.
Food was mediocre at best. Service was the worst that I have ever experienced. Saw the waiter twice: once to take our order and once to bring out our food. He messed up my order and said he would talk to the kitchen and never came back. Should have left during the hour it took to for him to bring the check. Don’t go here.
Never Again!. What was expected to be a nice family new year’s eve lunch turned out to be a disaster. We waited almost 20 minutes to be seated by a girl hostess that looked as if she worked at a strip club. Menu was thrown not handed. Our waiter was rude. When we asked for more water he yelled at us that we had water in our glasses. It took him almost an hour to tell us that the chef was not going to prepare our appetizer because he had I don’t know how many pizzas in the oven. When asked to to speak to the manager the waiter totally refused and ignored us. The ravioli was disgusting. And the plate which it was served on was dirty. The service is awful. The food not good. I have had better food and better service. I will never come here again.
